Six Meter Band CP Antenna Kit

This compact circularly-polarized antenna has both high efficiency and excellent impedance bandwidth. SWR is 1.1 from 50 to 54 MHz. Two of these CP antennas used in line-of-sight or long-distance ionospheric communication provide a 5 to 7 dB advantage compared to typical linearly-polarized antennas. No artificial ground is needed even when the antenna is mounted close to 5 mS/m earth. The four elements fit within a 6 by 6 foot vertical square. There is no boom. There are no special resonators, top-loading, or end-loading. All elements are driven; none are parasitic.

The kit includes four type 6061 aluminum tubes sealed with end-caps, a NEMA box designed for pole mounting, an SO239 female connector, plus a balun and phasing circuit inside the NEMA box. No adjustments are required. Assembly time is less than one hour. Type 6061 aluminum has the highest resistance to corrosion of all aluminum alloys. This antenna is rated for 200 watts continuous. Input impedance is 50 ohms unbalanced; other values available by special request.
